The Paracelsus Clinica al Ronc is situated in Castaneda, high above the Calanca Valley and 800 metres above sea level. The modern building is surrounded by the flora typically found in the southern part of Switzerland and nestles within a stand of chestnut trees. Breath-taking pathways through nature invite guests to stroll in the untouched Calanca Valley or to visit Santa Maria, an idyllic mountain hamlet above the clinic. In spite of its relative isolation, the Clinic is accessible by public transport and is just 20 minutes by car from Bellinzona.
The Clinic was built in 1986. It was completely modernized in 2001. Since summer 2011 the biological health centre has been managed by MD Dr. med. Petra Wiechel.
